Hand-painted “Gigi la Trottola” T-shirt”

The design of this T-shirt is inspired by Gigi the spinning top, a shōnen manga written and illustrated by Noboru Nokuda in 1980.

The main character in the story is Kappei Sakamoto (known as Gigi in Italy), a boy who is exceptionally talented at all kinds of sport; he is friendly, kind and generous, but his only “flaw” is that he is not even a metre tall.

Kappei doesn’t make a fuss about it; in fact, he takes the opportunity to peek under the schoolgirls’ skirts because, as well as sport, his passion is white knickers.

Although he excels at every kind of sport, he will choose the club that seems least suited to him – the basketball club – where he will meet Akane (known as Anna in Italy).

Hand-drawn and hand-painted using Made in Italy fabric paints; can be washed by hand or in the washing machine at up to 40°.
